aupair.uk.com The Au Pair Agency you can get through to!
Terms of Business:
Scope
By registering with us, either as an au pair or family you agree to abide by these terms of service. The Terms Of Business are between you and aupair.uk.com, hereafter referred to as “the Agency”.
All information provided will be used in accordance with the data protection act, and will not be passed, or sold to third parties.
Au Pairs
- Registration requires a €10 administration fee, needed to keep our service to au pairs free unlike other Agencies. We ask that all au pairs pay this fee, but if you are unable to do so we will not turn you down
- All au pairs must have a valid passport, and, if from a non EEC country, must have a letter of invitation from the host family to be allowed an au pair visa. This must be given to the au pair before arriving in the UK as this type of visa cannot be granted after an au pair is already in the UK (i.e. as a visitor)
- An au pair is responsible for his/her own fare to and from the UK, to the nearest airport or London Railway Station or Coach Terminal, where the family is expected to meet him/her
Families
- The Agency acts as an introductory service only, and takes every reasonable care in the selection of applicants on the strength of the information provided, but the Agency cannot accept responsibility for any loss, expense or damage to property or persons arising directly or indirectly from any act of any applicant introduced by the Agency
- The family becomes the Employer of the Applicant, and as such undertakes any associated responsibilities thereof
- The Agency asks all au pairs to provide 2 character references, a medical certificate and a detailed questionnaire when requesting a family in Britain. These references may give a good indication of an applicant’s character but it may be impractical to verify the content of such references, and families should take this into consideration when deciding to employ a particular au pair or foreign national
- Once a selection of an au pair abroad has been made, a letter must be sent from the family to the applicant, formally offering him/her the position as au pair with that family. On receipt, the Agency will not offer this au pair’s details to any other family, provided that the family has notified us
Bronze Membership:
This is the same as the silver membership, but you become a member for 6 weeks.
- You can contact as many au pairs as you like a week, for 6 weeks, which will allow you to recruit one au pair
- Your profile will be automatically hidden 6 weeks after you contact your first au pair, regardless of when you registered
- Bronze Membership costs €99, that’s all you pay for 6 weeks access, no other placement fees and no other agency fees at all!
Silver Membership:
This is the best value membership we have. It is for families who have the time and the experience to select and contact their prospective au pair and will be prepared to do most of the contacting work using our large searchable database of au pairs on the website. We will help and advise you along the way, on your request.
- You can contact as many au pairs as you like a week, for 52 weeks. This covers you for placements that do not work out.
- You can hide/edit your profile from the website as needed
- Silver Membership costs €169, that’s all you pay for 52 weeks access, no other placement fees and no other agency fees at all!
• Termination of employment must be notified to the Agency in writing immediately. Each case will be treated individually.
• Should it be discovered that an au pair had been expected to work in excess of 25 hours per week (or 40 for an au pair +) without prior consent, then no refund is due.
We reserve the right to make changes to these terms for clarification and minor edits
that do not change the meaning, without notice.
